About Handloom Emporium

A Legacy Woven in Tradition

Founded in 1967 by Late Shri K.C. Bhatia, Handloom Emporium began with a vision shaped by five years of immersive learning in Salem, Tamil Nadu. Mr. Bhatia returned to Jaipur with a deep respect for Indian weavers and launched a store that celebrated authentic handloom sarees and home décor.

Our sarees stood apart — sourced from lesser-known weaving regions like Tangail in West Bengal and village cottons of Tamil Nadu. Army families newly settled in Jaipur often found a piece of home in our store.

As demand grew, the next generation expanded our reach — traveling across India, partnering with artisans, and curating an unparalleled range of handwoven sarees. By 1992, we fully dedicated ourselves to sarees, gradually phasing out other products.

With new stores at Ganpati Plaza (1999) and Vaishali Nagar (2017), we introduced unstitched suits and regional styles like Bandhej, Leheriya, and Ghatchola, while staying committed to handloom tradition. Our Nehru Bazaar store expanded in 2005, adding more weaves — from silk and cotton to georgette and chiffon.

In 2020 and 2021, we embraced the digital era with the launch of our social media and website, bringing Indian handlooms to a global audience.

Today, we proudly offer handwoven fabrics from over 14 states — from Banarasi and Kanchivaram to Muga and Rajkot.

Every thread has a story. Every saree, a soul. Come, be part of our heritage.
